Event Details

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Friends of the York County Library, the Library has invited author and Rock Hill native Judy Goldman to speak on her new memoir, The Rest of Our Lives.  The book focuses on how old age is a lot like all the important stages we pass through on our way from then to now.  Judy will speak for approximately 30 minutes, then take questions from the audience. After, Judy will sell and sign her books while chatting with her fans.  This is your chance to buy a copy of the book prior to its official release on May 6.  Cash, check, or card accepted. Registration is available on the library's website or by calling 803-981-5825, and begins Saturday, April 19.  Limit 60.

This program aligns with YCL’s cultural literacy framework, which addresses the ability to understand and appreciate the similarities and differences in the customs, values, and beliefs of one’s own culture and the cultures of others.
