Celebrate Black History Month and test your knowledge with York County Library’s Black History Trivia Contest! To participate, pick up the quiz at any York County Library location beginning February 1 and return the completed form by 6:00 p.m. on February 28. Participants must turn in the official contest entry form to be considered.  Late entries will not be accepted.  The winner will be notified the week of March 10 via phone or email and will receive a $25 gift card to Books A Million.  One entry per person.  All entry forms become the property of the library.  Answers will be posted the week of March 3.

The quiz creator is Black History aficionado and law librarian Melanie Creech, JD.

This program aligns with YCL’s cultural literacy framework, which addresses the ability to understand and appreciate the similarities and differences in the customs, values, and beliefs of one’s own culture and the cultures of others.
