Cozy Family Story Time

Join us for a cozy family-friendly story time to celebrate the holidays! Stories and songs will be geared toward ages 3-10, but all are welcome. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served, come as you are or in your pajamas! Registration is recommended, but not required. Register online or by calling 803-684-3751 beginning December 6th.

This program aligns with YCL’s family literacy framework, which addresses the ability to incorporate whole families into activities between parents and children in order to build formative developmental skills; YCL’s information and media literacy framework, which addresses the ability to seek, evaluate, use, and create information effectively to achieve personal, social, occupational, and educational goals; YCL’s cultural literacy framework, which addresses the ability to understand and appreciate the similarities and differences in the customs, values, and beliefs of one’s own culture with the cultures of others; and YCL’s social and emotional literacy framework, which addresses the ability to “read,” recognize, and respond appropriately to emotions and feelings in oneself and in others; likewise learning how to build and maintain respectful relationships.
