Program Description

Event Details

The domestic violence and human trafficking stories we see on the news and social media are horrible, BUT it's not affecting me, my family, or friends... YOU would be shocked to know that MOST have family and friends that go a lifetime are silent and never share their story.

Join us to hear Kimberly Miner share the unspoken truths about what happens to these victims, how the victims can fight back, and how those who care about them can help.  Kimberly is a domestic & sexual abuse survivor, advocate, speaker, and founder of a nonprofit helping victims find their way through the trauma.  This program aligns with YCL’s health literacy framework, which addresses the ability to find, understand, and use information and services to inform health-related decisions and actions for themselves and others.

Registration is requested, but not required.  It begins on Saturday, November 9, at 9:00 a.m. and is available via the library’s website or by calling 803-981-5825.  Limit 30.
