Event Details

Get your green thumbs ready, and join us for a fun and flowery afternoon! Participants will decorate a flower pot, plant a flower, and make a cool plant stake to personalize their plant! All materials provided, younger kids may need caregiver assistance with some elements (i.e. with the dirt, planting the flower). Register online or by calling (803) 684-3751 beginning April 1st. Please register each child individually as space is limited.

This program aligns with YCL’s arts and creativity literacy framework, which addresses the ability to understand art history, styles, techniques, the ways to discuss art and learning through creative expression, creative activities, visualization, and creative thinking; and YCL’s social and emotional literacy framework, which addresses the ability to “read,” recognize, and respond appropriately to emotions and feelings in oneself and in others; likewise learning how to build and maintain respectful relationships.
