Homeschool families, please come and join us for the Homeschool Hangout! It offers an opportunity for parents to exchange ideas and discover how the library can support their child's educational journey. Kids can get together for learning, socializing, and family-related activities. The program will not be structured. A craft and games will be provided. Ages 6-11, accompanied by an adult. Limit 10 families. Register online or call 803-547-4114, starting Jan. 8.
This program aligns with YCL's social and emotional literacy framework, which addresses the ability to "read," recognize, and respond appropriately to emotions and feelings in oneself and in others; likewise, learning how to build and maintain respectful relationships.
