Join us for a fun afternoon guided painting class, where each participant will create a painting from start to finish under the instruction of a local artist. All materials provided, open to ages 6-11. Space is limited so please register each child individually. Registration begins June 24th online or by calling 803-684-3751
This program aligns with YCL’s arts and creativity literacy framework, which addresses the ability to understand art history, styles, techniques, the ways to discuss art and learning through creative expression, creative activities, visualization, and creative thinking; and YCL’s social and emotional literacy framework, which addresses the ability to “read,” recognize, and respond appropriately to emotions and feelings in oneself and in others; likewise learning how to build and maintain respectful relationships.
