Program Description

Event Details

Would you like to have a slumber party with Marshmallow, our Winter Reading Challenge mascot? Then visit the Children's Department at the Main Library and enter our weekly drawing.  Every Thursday during the month of January, a name will be drawn. Our winter reading polar bear will get to go home with that child for the weekend. Marshmallow will bring a snack, craft, cozy blanket, and book for you to keep. He's hoping that you or someone from your family will read to him before bedtime! For ages 3-9.

This program aligns with YCL's family literacy framework, which addresses the ability to incorporate whole families into activities between parent and child in order to build formative development skills.
