The Fundamentals of Art Series-Learning the Seven Elements

Do you enjoy making, observing or studying art in a class through videos or books and wonder what makes an art piece so appealing? Most likely the artist used two to four art elements to make it so.  Elements such as space, line and color are necessary in making successful art stand out.  

The Fundamentals of Art Series-Learning the Elements of Art is a seven week program that will touch on the building blocks (art elements) and how each are used to create successful artwork.  This program will focus on a different element each visit beginning with line. In this series you will experience hands on activities with videos and talking points that you can apply to your creative muse.  

This program aligns with YCL's arts and creativity literacy framework which addresses the ability to understand styles, techniques, the ways to discuss art, learning through creative expression, creative activities, visualization and creative thinking.
